IN PHOTOS: Pope Francis in the Philippines, day 3

MANILA, Philippines – Pope Francis on Saturday, January 17, goes to Leyte to meet with the people who were hardest hit by 2013’s Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) – the core of his pastoral visit to the Philippines.

His trip was cut short, however, due to Tropical Storm Amang (Mekkhala) which brought rain over Eastern Visayas.
