The facts:

The BSP said the images and information on the supposed Philippine currencies with Baybayin prints are false. The central bank also warned people on its verified Twitter account to stop spreading misinformation.

The BSP urged people to get information about Philippine banknotes from its official channels only.

This is also not the first time false designs of Philippine currency circulated online.

In November 2019, there were false posts claiming that new designs of Philippine peso coins were released. In January, Rappler also debunked posts that claimed the BSP launched new designs of the P50, P100, P200, P500, P1,000, and P5,000 banknotes. – Pauline Macaraeg/Rappler.com
