A graphic circulating on Facebook claimed that actress Toni Gonzaga signed with state media PTV-4.

“As part of her contract, she will be hosting a new TV Show entitled, ‘TNT: Tapatan ni Toni’ where she will be guesting lots of political allies of the current administration,” the post wrote.

This circulated after Gonzaga interviewed former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., on her YouTube show Toni Talks on September 13.

The claim is satirical.

PTV-4 General Manager Kat de Castro denied that they offered Gonzaga a contract with their station. “People’s Television Network wishes to clarify that a recent online story alleging that it offered multi-media personality Toni Gonzaga an engagement with the station is untrue,” she told Rappler.

The graphic was originally posted by Facebook page “The Philippine Char,” a satirical spin-off of The Philippine Star.

“The Philippine Char” itself said in a post on September 20 that the post was satire.

Sharing the repost of “Team Marcos – The Universal Movement,” the page wrote, “JUST IN | Marcos Apologists, di na lang YouTube ang source, pati satire news site na rin.”

Gonzaga renewed her contract with ABS-CBN in November 2018. Although her renewed contract lasted only two years, an ABS-CBN News article dated January 15, 2021, listed her as an active Kapamilya.

She has been with the network since 2005.

ABS-CBN confirmed in a press conference on August 30 that Gonzaga is returning as a host for the 10th season of the reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother. She also hosted the network’s variety-talk show I FEEL U. – Tatiana Maligro/Rappler.com
