Inilabas ni Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra ang initial findings ng isang inter-agency panel tungkol sa war on drugs ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Ayon sa report, lumabas na hindi sumunod sa tamang protocol ang mga police sa mahigit kalahati ng kanilang mga inimbestigahang operasyon laban sa droga.

Sapat ba ang report? Ano ang kulang dito? Ayon kay Buan:

From the perspective of the families of the drug war, ayokong i-belittle iyong DOJ panel sa kanila. At the end of the day, baka iyong gobyerno talaga ang makatutulong para makapagsampa ng kaso at para makapag-convict ng killer ng relatives nila. If there’s someone who could help them, it would be the government. At the very least, that’s what I’m looking for. Nasaan ang assistance? If you’re saying that you’re going to provide assistance to these families, we need proof. The public needs proof that you actually provided assistance. Most of all, the public needs proof that you’re really prosecuting these killings. So nasaan? We need to see prosecutorial records. We need to see court records. We need to see more convictions. Kasi in the 5,000, would you believe isa lang ang may salang kaso? Iyong kay Kian [delos Santos] lang talaga, in 5,000? That’s a little hard to believe na in 5,000, isa lang ang murder. At the very least, that’s what I’d like to see.
