NBI digs bones of girl allegedly killed by Aussie pedophile
The 10-year-old victim was believed to have been kidnapped by Peter Gerard Scully in Talakag, Bukidnon, and murdered in Surigao City

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines – Peter Gerard Scully, the Australian who was arrested in Bukidnon last week for child pornography and sexual assault, is believed to have murdered a girl in 2013, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said.

NBI’s director for Northern Mindanao, Angelito Magno, led a team of operatives on Wednesday, February 25, to recover the bones of the 10-year-old girl in Villa Corito Subdivision, Barangay Washington, in Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.

It was the place that Sully rented while in Surigao City.

The girl was reportedly taken by Scully from Talakag town in Bukidnon, 35 kilometers away from Cagayan de Oro City, Magno said.

A social welfare officer in Region X also confirmed that the victim was from Talakag.

We will be bringing the remains of victim of Scully in Cagayan de Oro today,” Magno said.

Authorities learned about Scully’s twisted sexual practices from his former live-in partner Carme Ann Alvarez. She said the Australian would assault and rape young girls while recording their ordeal on video.

Alvarez herself was one of the girls abused by Scully but later became his live-in partner and allegedly aided him in trafficking young girls.

Alvarez was arrested by police in September 2014 in Apovel Subdivision, Barangay Bulua, this city, after a girl whom Scully abused escaped the house that Scully and Alvarez were renting.

Police Senior Inspector Arviez Altiche, Police Station Commander of Station 7 in Cagayan de Oro, said Scully escaped that raid but was implicated by the Alvarez. The woman is now at the Cagayan de Oro City Jail’s detention center for females.

Scully was arrested in his rented house in Barangay Violeta, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, last February 20, after a 3-week stakeout by the NBI’s Anti Human Trafficking Division, headed by Czar Eric Nuqui, InterPol, and Australian and Dutch police.

Scully has been a subject of investigation by police in the Netherlands after he was discovered to be broadcasting to that country his recordings of sexual assaults via the Internet. – Rappler.com
