Vice President Leni Robredo went to the Supreme Court in Manila on Thursday, April 19, 2018, accompanying her lawyers, Romulo Macalintal and Maria Bernadette Sardillo, as they filed a motion for reconsideration over the Presidential Electoral Tribunal's decision to implement a 50-percent threshold percentage in the ongoing recount, for the electoral protest filed against her by Bongbong Marcos. In their motion, Macalintal, a veteran election lawyer, asked the Tribunal to reverse its earlier decision and instead observe the 25-percent threshold percentage set the Comelec for the 2016 elections.
