BSP: 'Old' PH peso bills valid until Dec 31

From January 1 to December 31 2016 unused old banknotes would have to be exchanged in authorized banks and the BSP After that period these bills will have no monetary value

Bangko Central ng Pilipinas Deputy Governor, Diwa Guinigundo shows old and new banknote in a press conference at the Central Bank on Thursday. The old banknote will be demonetized by the end of the year 2015. Guinigundo urged the public to start exchange their old banknotes in any authorized agent bank even if they are not depositors. At 2016 any banknote series can no longer be used for daily transactions. Starting january 1, 2017 demonetized, no more value. Only the new banknote series will remain as legal tender in the country.
