Former U.S. president Bill Clinton stands next to his official portrait during an unveiling ceremony at the Smithsonian Castle in Washington, DC Monday 24 April 2006. A portrait of his wife Senator Hillary Clinton (Democrat / New York) was also unveiled. The portraits, painted by Nelson Shanks (Bill) and Ginny Stanford (Hillary), will be displayed in the National Portrait Gallery in Washington when the recently restored building reopens in July.
