MANILA, Philippines – If this year had Typhoon Yolanda as its strongest cyclone, Typhoon Pablo is considered the worst storm of 2012.

Typhoon Pablo (Bopha) made landfall in Mindanao on Dec 4, 2012, and is considered one of the worst typhoons to hit the island.

Mostly affected were the provinces of Davao Oriental and Compostela Valley, where the strong typhoon caused massive flooding and landslides that killed many.

It could have been the most destructive typhoon to hit the country recently – that is, until Yolanda came.
