MANILA, Philippines – Our online community sent us these photos as this year’s largest full moon lit up the night sky, Sunday, June 23.

In science terms, the “supermoon” is called perigee moon: the moon approached the perigee of its orbit around our planet – approximately 356,955 kilometers from Earth. An average of 4 to 6 perigee moons occur in a year.
