The win earns Kaya a spot in the 2016 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup, entering in the preliminary round. Ceres earned direct entry into the AFC Cup group by topping the Division 1 standings.

Earlier in the day, the Loyola-Meralco Sparks defeated Stallion FC, 4-2, in a shootout to finish the UFL Cup in third place.
