MANILA, Philippines – Up-and-coming forward Matt Ganuelas-Rosser had struggled all game long against Iran, but he made sure to get at least one final highlight play before the final buzzer sounded.
The Talk ’N Text standout made one final impression during the William Jones Cup matchup on Thursday, September 3, throwing down a thunderous dunk on Iranian player Kardoust Asghar near the end of the game.

The 25-year-old Rosser of Olongapo finished with only two points and 3 turnovers in the 74-65 loss as Gilas drops to 3-2 in the tournament, which serves as a warm-up for the FIBA Asia Championship later this month in China.
The game was marred by physicality as Iran’s center Hamed Haddadi was involved with a scuffle involving Gilas players Ranidel De Ocampo and Moala Tautuaa.
Ganuelas-Rosser, who also played for the Philippines at the 2012 Jones Cup, took the loss as a learning experience, saying the team will be ready to bounce back tomorrow.
Great learning experience. Ready to bounce back tomorrow. #Puso!
