MANILA, Philippines – The Golden State Warriors and the Oklahoma City Thunder duked it out in a classic slugfest for the ages in Game 7 of the Western Conference finals on Monday, May 30 (Tuesday, May 31 in Manila).
In the end, the defending champions emerged victorious by the strength of their deadly 3-point shooting as the Thunder wrapped up its season.
Stephen Curry, the reigning back-to-back MVP, dropped 36 points and hit 5 of the Warriors’ 10 second-half 3-pointers to come back from 13-and 8-point deficits.
With the win, Golden State completed the comeback from a 3-1 series deficit and will return to the finals to face last year’s nemesis, Cleveland Cavaliers, led by LeBron James.
