MANILA, Philippines (Second Update) – Prepare for an “Attitude Adjustment,” Philippines.
World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) icon John Cena has been added to the WWE Live Manila event which takes place Friday, September 9 at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Philippines. The man who cannot be seen will face Big Show, who visited the Philippines on Tuesday, July 26 to promote the event. (WATCH: WWE star Big Show on wrestling Shaq, retirement and the Philippines)
Big Show told Rappler that one of his dream opponents for his final match, when it happens, would be Cena, along with Triple H and The Undertaker.
Cena, a 15-time champion and the long-time “face of the company,” returned to WWE in May following shoulder surgery and has been feuding with AJ Styles and The Club, defeating them in a 6-man tag team match this past Sunday at Battleground alongside Enzo Amore and Big Cass.
Cena’s addition to the card is the latest in a recent series of shakeups to the Philippines’ first WWE event in 7 years following the WWE Draft. The main event remains Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns, while Finn Balor, Chris Jericho and Sami Zayn were also added to the show.
