USA trounces China in 2nd straight Olympics warm-up
Top scorers DeMarcus Cousins and Carmelo Anthony lead the USA in the victory against China

MANILA, Philippines – The USA men’s national basketball team dominated China, 107-57, in a second straight warm-up game for the 2016 Rio Olympics on Tuesday, July 26 (Wednesday, Manila time) at the Oracle Arena.

Playing in front of the home crowd of his new team Golden State, Kevin Durant opened the game with a 3-pointer and a breakaway slam dunk before finishing with 13 points in a little under 19 and a half minutes. 

USA, which defeated China 106-57 in their last friendly and defeated Argentina 111-74 4 days ago, was also led by the 21 points and 11 rebounds of starting center DeMarcus Cousins. Team veteran Carmelo Anthony added 20 points and hit 4 3-pointers.

China trailed by 16 after the first period and couldn’t get any closer the rest of the way. The team committed 18 turnovers and hit only 3-of-15 from deep, while USA stroked 14-of-36 from outside.

Zhou Qi posted 13 points to lead Team China.

The United States is aiming for its third straight Olympic gold medal in Rio next month. –
