MANILA, Philippines – Gilas Pilipinas big man and naturalized Filipino Andray Blatche is currently playing in an international tournament for China.

The former NBA big man is playing for China Kashgar in the FIBA Asia Champions Cup. The team is composed of players from the Xinjiang Flying Tigers, which is the team Blatche plays for in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

The Philippines does not have a team in the competition. 

Blatche scored 10 points on 3-of-9 shooting plus 8 rebounds and 3 assists in 13:41 minutes in his team’s first win against Al Shorta from Iraq, 96-69. China Kashgar will next be in action against Al Ahli.

Blatche played for Gilas in the 2014 FIBA World Cup, 2015 FIBA Asia Championship, and 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament. – Rappler.com
