PSL: Generika clinches first Grand Prix win at Cignal’s expense

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – The Generika Lifesavers finally made a mark in the winning column of the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix, following a 25-15, 25-20, 25-22 victory over the Cignal HD Spikers on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the PhilSports Multi-Purpose Arena.

Polina Liutikova led the way with 10 points for the erstwhile winless Generika.

Shaya Adorador also put up 9 markers for the Lifesavers, while Chlodia Cortez and American import Darlene Ramdin both contributed 7 points.

The HD spikers kept it close during the second technical timeouts of the second and third sets, but failed to take one from the Lifesavers.

Sandra Delos Santos pitched in 12 markers for Cignal, which now drops to a win-loss record of 1-7.
