MANILA, Philippines – Two teams remain in the hunt for the UAAP Season 79 men’s basketball title, and they happen to be the biggest rivals in Philippine collegiate sports.
After 8 years, the DLSU Green Archers and Ateneo Blue Eagles will once again dispute a UAAP championship round. For the fifth time in league history, the blue and green rivals will have the entire country’s sports landscape watching as the season comes to a close.
La Salle went 13-1 during the elimination round and defeated the Adamson Soaring Falcons right away, but its lone loss of Season 79 was against Ateneo, which enters the series having won 7 of its last 8 games.
