UAAP Season 78 Most Valuable Player Afril Bernardino paced the Filipinos with 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting off the bench. Her presence allowed her team to outscore Singapore by 37 points.
Janine Pontejos had 13 points, while Camille Sambile posted 10 markers and 7 boards, as the Philippines led by as many as 37 points.
The Philippines next takes on Indonesia on Monday, August 21.
