PH’s Huelgas delivers SEAG 2nd gold in men’s triathlon, Chicano bags silver

PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia (2nd UPDATE) – Nikko Huelgas gives the Philippines its second gold medal in men’s triathlon during the 2017 Southeast Asian Games on Monday, August 21 at the Water Sports Complex in Putrajaya.

Huelgas posted a time of 1:59:30, an improvement from his 2:04:32 in 2015. He was also responsible for the Philippines’ second gold medal in the Singapore SEA Games two years ago.

Meanwhile, John Chicano bagged silver with his time of 2:01:27, as the Philippines totals its medal haul to 7.

Singapore’s Clement Chow picked up the bronze medal with his time of 2:03:24.
