Evalyn Palabrica earns bronze in Women’s Javelin Throw

MANILA, Philippines – Evalyn Palabrica bagged a bronze medal for the Philippines in the 29th Southeast Asian Games Athletics tournament on Tuesday, August 22 at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

The 23-year-old Palabrica, a former Far Eastern University student from Iloilo, registered a distance of 47.21m, besting the mark of her team mate, 2015 SEA Games bronze medalist Rosie Villarito, who settled for a 4th place finish.

This is the fourth medal that the Philippines won in the Athletics tournament of the 2017 SEA Games. – Rappler.com
