Philippine lawn bowl team collects two more medals in SEAG lawn bowl
Philippine lawn bowl picks up a silver in the men's pairs and a bronze in the women's pairs events.

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – The Philippine national lawn bowl team got its fourth medal in the 29th Southeast Asian Games on Saturday, August 26 at the National Lawn Bowl Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

Filipino duo Angelo Morales and Pancho Marcelito bagged the silver medal after falling to their Malaysian counterparts, Hizlee and Fairul Izwan, 13-20, in the men’s pairs final event of the SEA Games 2017 lawn bowl tournament.

In the afternoon session, Bruce Asuncion and Annie Knight suited up for the women’s pairs bronze medal match against the Thai pair of Thanom Kanngandee and Thamonphan L., where they bested the Thais, 13-11.

The Philippines placed 3rd overall in the women’s pairs event behind silver medalist Brunei and gold medalist Malaysia. – Rappler.com
