Jaja Santiago, who has led the National University Lady Bulldogs to the PVL collegiate conference finals, has been named MVP

MANILA, Philippines – National University star Jaja Santiago continues to prove she is one of the country’s best volleyball talent by clinching the Most Valuable Player award in the women’s division of the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference.

Santiago has been the centerpiece of the Lady Bulldogs’ undefeated season as NU is only a win away from winning the PVL Collegiate Conference women’s division title.

Far Eastern University’s Toni Rose Basas was named Best Opposite Spiker, Arellano University’s Rhea Marist Ramirez was hailed the Best Setter while Lady Bulldog Gayle Rose Valdez was awarded the Best Libero of the conference.

Despite losing their bronze match, Adamson University’s Christine Soyud won the 1st Best Outside Spiker while Arellano’s Regine Arocha notched the 2nd Best Outside Spiker award.

Lady Tamaraw Jeanette Villareal bagged the 1st Middle Blocker plum while NU’s Risa Sato snatched the 2nd Best Middle Blocker award. – Rappler.com
