MANILA, Philippines – The Golden State Warriors seek to defend the NBA championship against a Cleveland Cavalier side that has been carried by LeBron James.
With Kevin Durant dominating inside, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson sizzling as 3-point sharpshooters, and Draymond Green contributing rebounds and assists, the Warriors have been nearly as formidable as they were in last year’s title run.
The Warriors shoot for their 3rd crown in 4 seasons as James also tries to make the most out of his 8th straight Finals appearance.
James powered Cleveland in the playoffs by sheer force of will, lifting the Cavs on his shoulders to book their 4th finals meeting in a row against the Warriors.
This marks the first time in North American pro sports history that two clubs will meet in the final for a 4th consecutive season.
