Jeron Teng, 2 ex-La Salle players stabbed in BGC

MANILA, Philippines – PBA player Jeron Teng and his two former La Salle teammates got stabbed early morning Sunday, June 3, outside the Early Night Club at the Fort Strip in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. 

A police report said Teng, together with Thomas Torres and Norbert Torres, were walking outside the club at 2:30 am when a group got “their attention that resulted [in] a heated argument and a brawl.”  

Teng was reportedly stabbed on the body, while Thomas Torres and Norbert Torres got hit in the arm. The players were rushed to St. Luke’s Medical Hospital in BGC. 

The suspects were identified  as Edmar Lacanlale, a 40-year-old Filipino-American, and Willard Basili of Muntinlupa City. Both were arrested.

Just hours before the stabbing incident, Teng saw action with the Alaska Aces where he played a key role in their 109-103 win over GlobalPort in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup. – Rappler.com
