Golden State’s Kevin Durant to return to the Philippines
The back-to-back NBA Finals MVP will visit Manila on July 8

MANILA, Philippines – Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant will return to the Philippines on July 8, Nike announced on Sunday, July 1.

The back-to-back NBA Finals Most Valuable Player will be visiting Manila for the second time to conduct a meet-and-greet and a training session with select Filipino basketball players.

Durant, who visited Manila in 2011 to participate in exhibition games against a PBA selection and Gilas Pilipinas, will be given a champion’s welcome at 9th Avenue across Nike Park Fort in Bonifacio Global City at 12:30 pm on July 8.

The former league MVP will then share some of his workouts, training drills, and inspirational beliefs with select ballers in preparation for the KD Nike Hyper Court Team All-Star Challenge at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“Fresh off a recent amazing season, this is an opportune moment to welcome and celebrate his journey of hard work and perseverance, which brings him to where he is today, with all aspiring Filipino ballers,” said Nike Philippines country marketing manager Jinno Ferrer.

Durant, who has now won two NBA championships with the Warriors, is expected to stay in Golden State with a two-year deal. – Rappler.com
