Kawhi hits game-winner as Raptors claw Sixers in Game 7
The often emotionless Leonard drains a shot so spectacular that he lets out a roar as teammates hug him

MANILA, Philippines – Kawhi Leonard sent the Toronto Raptors to the Eastern Conference finals in the most dramatic fashion with the game-winning shot at the buzzer in Game 7 against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Leonard sent their home court Scotiabank Arena to hysterics as his shot from the baseline hit the rim 4 times before dropping to give Toronto the 92-90 win on Sunday, May 12 (Monday, May 13, Philippine time).

Philadelphia managed to knot the score off a Jimmy Butler layup with 4.2 seconds left, but Leonard came to broke the visitors’ hearts to end his night with 41 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals.

Defended by Ben Simmons, Leonard drove hard to the right corner and forced Joel Embiid to switch on him before draining the first Game 7 buzzer-beater in NBA history.

It was a shot so spectacular that the often emotionless Leonard let out a roar as teammates hugged him.

The Raptors will face with the Milwaukee Bucks in a best-of-seven affair as they vie for a spot in the NBA Finals, while the Golden State Warriors and the Portland Trail Blazers tangle over at the Western Conference.

“I just wanted to leave it all on the floor,” Leonard said after the game.

It was not all Leonard, though, as his supporting cast showed up to propel Toronto to the conference finals for the second time in franchise history.

Serge Ibaka had 17 points and 18 rebounds, Pascal Siakam finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds, Kyle Lowry chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists while Marc Gasol delivered 7 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

Embiid put up 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists only to witness his 76ers crashed out of the conference semifinals for the second straight year.
