MANILA, Philippines – The Banko Perlas Spikers may have pulled off a victory in straight sets, but they got pushed to the limit every frame before hacking out a 26-24, 32-30, 26-24 victory over a young Motolite team in the 2019 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference on Wednesday, June 5, at the Filoil Flying V Arena. 

Kia Bright’s end-to-end game of 20 points and 13 excellent digs and 15 excellent receptions powered Banko Perlas through the extended-set wins as they climbed to 2-2 in the conference standings.

Isa Molde lifted Motolite with 16 points but the new team remains winless at 0-3. 

Earlier, Petro Gazz Angels kept the top spot as they downed  the winless Balipure Water Defenders in straight sets, 25-19, 25-12, 25-15.

Wilma Salas and Janna Johnson tallied 12 points apiece while Jeanette Panaga emerged as the player of the game, scoring 11 points to power Petro Gazz to a 4-0 record in the standings.
