MANILA, Philippines — The Miami Heat used a sizzling run bridging the last two periods to crush the San Antonio Spurs, 103-84, in Game 2 of the NBA Finals series Monday, June 10, at the American Airlines Arena in Miami.
Mario Chalmers and LeBron James starred in a back-breaking 33-5 run in the third and fourth periods as the defending champions broke wide open a close game with stout defense, aggressive offense and a barrage of threes.
The win allowed Miami to tie the series at one game apiece heading to the Spurs’ home court, where the next 3 matches will be held.
Chalmers sparked the Heat with 19 points while James had 17 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 blocks and 3 steals for Miami, who drew a combined 22 points, 12 boards and 10 assists from Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade.
On the other hand, Danny Green hit 5-of-5 three-pointers for San Antonio, but Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard shot 12-of-39 and had 7 turnovers. – Rappler.com
