UAAP, NCAA, V-League postpone games
The UAAP, the NCAA and the V-League has postponed their games for Tuesday and Wednesday.

MANILA, Philippines — Cancellations continued to hit sporting events as heavy rains brought by southwest monsoon and flooding persisted into Tuesday, August 20.

After postponing its juniors division basketball games for today, the UAAP also announced its Wednesday, August 21 games in the seniors and women’s division will also be postponed to another date.

The men’s matchups would have seen the debut of new University of the Philippines coach Rey Madrid against University of the East and Ateneo de Manila University taking on University of Santo Tomas in a rematch of the Season 75 finals.

In the women’s division, cancelled games are between De La Salle University and UE and Adamson University versus Ateneo. 

The Shakey’s V-League also cancelled their triple-header scheduled for today at the FilOil Flying V Arena.

The following games in the country’s premier volleyball tournament have been postponed to a later date:

Far Eastern University vs Army
Philippine Navy vs Cagayan
Philippine Air Force vs Meralco

In the NCAA, the league has also cancelled the opening of the Swimming Championship and Chess games today.
