MANILA, Philippines — Before the Houston Rockets, it would be the Red Rocket who would hit Manila first.

The NBA announced on Wednesday, September 4, that Matt Bonner of the San Antonio Spurs will visit the country this weekend for the league’s NBA Cares and NBA Fit programs.

Bonner, who led the NBA in 3-point shooting percentage in 2010-11, is due in town on Friday, September 6, when they hold a basketball clinic at the Manila Boys Town.

Another clinic for children from the SM Foundation and the Arthur Center will be conducted on Saturday, September 7 at the Mall of Asia Arena before Bonner wraps up his visit with the NBA Fit on Sunday, September 8.
