MANILA, Philippines — NBA fever hits Asia as 4 of the league’s best teams barnstorm the world’s biggest continent this October for the NBA Global Games.

The Houston Rockets take on the Indiana Pacers at the Mall of Asia Arena on October 10 before both squads match up anew in Taipei on October 13.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers battle the retooled Golden State Warriors in separate outings in China, with the first game to be held in Beijing on October 15 and a second one in Shanghai on October 18.

NBA legends Robert Horry, Jalen Rose and Clyde Drexler will be at the Global Games in both Manila and Taipei while three more legends in Muggsy Bogues, Dell Curry and AC Green will join the festivities in China.

Seven countries will be hit by the NBA Global Games fever and each nation will have NBA legends gracing their 2013-14 appetizers. Drexler and Horry have been to Manila twice while Rose will fly in for the first time.

In addition to oncourt action, the NBA Global Games will feature a variety of events off the court, including NBA Cares community outreach activities on October 6 and 7 and the NBA Fan Fiesta at the Mall of Asia Arena on October 5. –
