MANILA, Philippines – The Division of City Schools, San Juan City issued a memorandum suspending classes on Monday, January 20 in line with the opening ceremony of the Palarong Panrehiyon 2014 in the National Capital Region, per a government press release.
In the memorandum, Schools Division Superintendent Rowena A. Cacanindin directed all schools principals of elementary and secondary schools, both in public and private to suspend classes, and expects participation of all concerned.
Public schools were also advised to make the necessary arrangements in the participation of students in the flag waving activity during the parade of athletes.
The city of San Juan is host to this year’s Palaro from January 20-25, 2014. – Rappler.com
