MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao took a break from promoting his rematch with WBO welterweight titleholder Timothy Bradley on April 12, checking out the New York Knicks’ game against the Portland Trail Blazers at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Pacquiao, who is an avid Boston Celtics fan and even delayed the ringwalk for his first fight with Bradley in 2012 so he could catch the finish of a Celtics game on TV, is in New York on the second and final stop of his press tour.

The former eight-division world champion Pacquiao (53-5-2, 38 knockouts) of General Santos City got a chance to meet with NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony, Grammy Award winning singer Ashanti and actress Hillary Duff while at the game as he made the media rounds, which included a stop by the ESPN2 talk show “Olbermann” and the FoxSports1 show “Crowd Goes Wild,” which is hosted by TV icon Regis Philbin.

Pacquiao will face Timothy Bradley (31-0, 12 KOs) of Palm Springs, Calif. for the second time. In their first match, Bradley won a disputed split-decision. Bradley has since defeated Ruslan Provodnikov and Juan Manuel Marquez, while Pacquiao was knocked out by Marquez in his following fight before rebounding with a decision win over Brandon Rios last November in Macau.
