San Mig Coffee, meanwhile, peaked at the right time. After 1-5 win-loss record to start the tournament, the Mixers found themselves winning crucial games down the stretch to ente the knockout stages.
Rain or Shine made short work of power house Petron Blaze Boosters winning the semifinals match, 4-1 while the Mixers had to slug it out for 7 games with top seed Barangay Ginebra San Miguel eventually winning, 4-3.
Rain or Shine won game 1 with a sneaky inbound play, finished by birthday boy Paul Lee. Relive the action on Rappler’s live blog.
