PORTLAND – Kyle Korver’s record run of consecutive NBA games with a 3-point basket was snapped at 127 in the Atlanta Hawks’ 102-78 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Korver, who turns 33 on March 17, went 0-for-5 from beyond the arc for Atlanta. He finished 1-of-9 from the field for Wednesday’s game with only five points and did not play in the fourth quarter.

“I’m a little bummed, for sure,” Korver said of the end of the streak. “It was good while it lasted.

“Someday we’ll look at it and be proud, but obviously it was a tough game all around for us.”

Korver, an 11-year NBA veteran, began his streak November 4, 2012, against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

He broke the old record of 89 games in a row with a 3-pointer that had been set by Dana Barros in 1996 with his 90th such game on December 6 in a 108-89 win over Cleveland.

At 26-33, the Hawks are clinging to the eighth and final playoff position in the Eastern Conference. – Rappler.com
