HIGHLIGHTS: PBA All Stars vs Gilas Pilipinas

The best of the PBA clash with the country's national basketball team in an All Star game that promises to be both fun and competitive

MANILA, Philippines – The Gilas Pilipinas team training for the FIBA World Championship gets their first test as they face-off with the PBA All Stars Sunday, April 6 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Headlining the PBA All Stars are San Mig Super Coffee Guards Mark Barroca and James Yap, while the frontcourt will be composed of Barangay Ginebra players Chris Ellis, Mac Baracael and 7-foot rookie Greg Slaughter.

Reigning PBA Most Valuable Player Arwind Santos and Rookie of the Year Calvin Abueva lead the seven reserves.

San Mig Super Coffee’s Joe Devance and Peter June Simon are also part of the list. Completing the cast are KG Canaleta of Talk ‘N Text, Marcio Lassiter of San Miguel, and Sonny Thoss of Alaska.

The Gilas cast is the same as the ones that did battle in the FIBA Asia Cup led by Jayson Castro, Jimmy Alapag, Marc Pingris, Japeth Aguilar, and Marcus Douthit with the additions of Rain or Shine’s Paul Lee and Meralco’s Jared Dillinger.
