SAN ANTONIO, Tex. – Guard Tony Parker is suffering from a back sprain that will keep him from joining the San Antonio Spurs on their upcoming road trip, the National Basketball Association team announced Monday.

The 31-year-old Parker, of France, underwent an MRI on Monday that revealed he has a sprained facet joint on the left side of his back. The team gave no timeline for his return.

The three-time NBA champion has been named to six league all-star teams and was the 2007 NBA finals most valuable player.

The Spurs take on Minnesota on Tuesday and then play in Dallas on Thursday. – Rappler.com
