MANILA, Philippines – It’s no secret that Filipinos love basketball. That message wasn’t lost on the National Basketball Association, which chose Manila as the site of their very first NBA Cafe.
Located at the top floor of SM Aura in Bonifacio Global City, the basketball-themed eatery held its grand opening on Friday, April 25 with special guests Gordon Hayward of the Utah Jazz and retired WNBA star Tina Thompson in attendance.
The duo, who will participate in the Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA national training camps in the Philippines, talked about the NBA playoffs in progress and their impressions of basketball in the Philippines. – Rappler.com
