The national team is expected to win more golds as the event holds more competitions on Sunday, May 18.

The Dragon Boat squad has a rich tradition of winning, especially recently after they bagged several golds in the International Dragon Boat World Championships.

In 2007, the group set a new record in Sydney, Australia for the men’s 200M event, before erasing it two years after in 2009 in Prague, Czech Republic.

They went on to dominate the 10th staging in Tampa Bay, Florida in 2011 after winning four gold medals. – Rappler.com
