Pacquiao on to a ‘commanding’ win – Roach

MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao’s training coach Freddie Roach said he expects a “commanding, possibly quick, win.”

In a story published by East Side Boxing Friday, June 1, Roach said, “Manny is in a very good place. We have a big game-plan and we know how to handle this guy. Buboy [Fernandez – Pac-Man’s assistant] feels that Bradley will start to run once he feels Manny’s power but I disagree. I think he doesn’t know how to run and he will be aggressive all night long and Manny’s going to eat him up once he comes forward.”

Pacquaio’s opponent, 140-pound champ Timothy Bradley had earlier said he expects to have an “easy night.”

But other boxing experts like Ricky Hatton and Sugar Shane Mosley predicted a “long, hard night” for both boxers. Roach, however, was unfazed, still predicting a win by KO.

“It could be [a short fight] but he’s [Bradley] a durable guy. It will be fun to watch,” Roach told East Side Boxing.

The fight between Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley will take place on Saturday, June 9, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.  – Rappler.com
