The Fil-German midfielder also stated that his departure from the national squad is temporary adding that he is looking forward to representing the country again in the near future.

“It’s not true that I don’t wanna play for [the] Philippines anymore. It was always a pleasure for me and I feel still honored to have the possibility to play for my country, the country where my heart belongs,” he clarified.

Meanwhile, amidst the announcement of Schrock, Fil-Danish defender Cagara revealed through his Twitter account that he will also take an indefinite break from Azkals duty due to Dooley.
