Gameplan new generation: Kayang-kaya mo To(n)!
MANILA, Philippines - July 10, 2014. Ton Vergel De Dios is the 15th Gameplan host. Having tried various sports and fitness activities, Ton admits his active lifestyle is rooted in his early years of playing football. He says sports taught him to be a team player, and to have commitment and dedication in whatever he does.
After he broke his ankle and was advised not to train regularly for football, Ton discovered a newfound passion in Calisthenics to remain fit and active.
Calisthenics involves a variety of exercises using only movements and body weight to increase strength, flexibility, balance, agility, and coordination.
Creatively thinking of ways to make his workouts more challenging, Ton playfully uses bars in playgrounds to do muscle-ups and core training.
Aside from getting fit, Ton also spends his days playing music with his brothers in a band called, “Hansom.” In this webisode, he explains that music, just like sports, is challenging at first but it becomes second nature through regular practice.
Having been a former 5 and Up host and a Myx VJ, Ton is not new to hosting and interacting with people. With his energetic and free-flowing personality, he hopes that he would be able to make his mark in Gameplan as the guy who finishes the race, or workout, with a smile.
