MANILA, Philippines – Eight-division Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao will fight twice in 2015, with the second taking place in Macau toward the end of the year – likely in November.
According to an article published by boxingscene.com, Pacquiao’s adviser, Michael Koncz, said that Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 knockouts) has contract obligations to fight twice in this calendar year.
“We’re under contract to have two fights,” said Koncz.
“Based on what we’ve discussed in the past, I believe the way it stands now, we’ll fight in Macau once a year – in November,” he added.
Pacquiao first fought in Macau in November 2013 when he defeated Brandon Rios via unanimous decision to snap a two-fight losing streak. In November 2014, Pacquiao beat erstwhile undefeated Chris Algieri also via unanimous decision.
Pacquiao’s dominant performance against Algieri – whom he defeated with a scorecard of 119-103, 119-103, 120-102 – increased the pressure on his and the undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr’s camps to agree to terms for a fight between both champions.
There have been discussions of a potential May 2 match between the two, though no specific date has been agreed and signed upon as of this moment.

Pacquiao’s promoter, Top Rank’s Bob Arum, reportedly has plans of having his boxer fight in the United States in April if negotiations for a Pacquiao-Mayweather duel fall through again. – Rappler.com
