Philippine Wrestling Revolution to crown first champion on May 23
The country's only pro wrestling company will be crowning its first champion on its fourth show dubbed “Wrevolution X”

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine Wrestling Revolution (PWR), the only professional wrestling promotion in the country, will be crowning its first champion on its fourth show dubbed “Wrevolution X” on Saturday, May 23 at the Makati Cinema Square Arena in Makati City.

Two of the sports-entertainment company’s top in-ring performers will collide for the inaugural PWR championship belt as Bombay Suarez locks horns with “The Senyorito” Jake De Leon.

Suarez earned his spot to vie for the title by pinning “The Social Media Sinister” Ken Warren at PWR: Vendetta this past February, while De Leon beat Chris Panzer in the main event of the same card.

PWR: Wrevolution X will also feature the culmination of the rivalry between Mayhem Brannigan and “Classical” Bryan Leo as both men are set to meet in a 30-minute Iron Man match.

The aforementioned contest operates under the same rules as any other professional wrestling bout, but instead of the match having to be over before a time limit is up, it goes the full length of the allotted time, with each wrestler attempting to score as many falls as possible.

The competitor who has the most decisions at the end of the match is declared the winner of the match.

In other bouts, The Apocalypse battles Main Maxx in a Last Man Standing showdown, which is a hardcore-style match where the only way to win is by knockout.

Meanwhile, a three-way tag team elimination match will pit the groups of Beer Promdi (Kanto Terror and Mark D. Manalo), Dual Shock (Peter Versoza and SANDATA) and Fighters 4 Hire (Miguel Rosales and Joey Bax).

Panzer and Warren will also settle their score at PWR: Wrevolution X as the two wrestlers will square off for the third time in a submission match.

Warren got the first laugh at September’s PWR: Renaissance, while Panzer avenged his disappointing defeat at PWR: Terminus last December.

On the other hand, Filipino-Japanese Ralph Imabayashi crosses paths with Royal Flush’s new member John Sebastian.

Tickets are available at the Makati Cinema Square Arena for Php 250.00 ($5.62) on the said date. Doors open at 5:00pm, while opening bell rings at 6:00pm. – Rappler.com
