MANILA, Philippines – Barangay Ginebra San Miguel import Orlando Johnson is doing well a day after being rushed to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City for hitting his head during his team’s loss against the San Miguel Beermen on Sunday, May 31.

According to Johnson’s agent, Sheryl Reyes, the import was given a CT scan for a possible concussion or other ailments, but tests came back negative.

“There was no bleeding, nothing,” Reyes told Rappler.

Johnson was kept confined at St. Luke’s for the night for further observation but only as a precaution.

The 26-year-old import, who’s averaging 36.7 points and 13.2 rebounds a game this conference, fell down hard and hit his head during the first quarter against San Miguel.

After the match, the 6-foot-5 forward complained of dizziness and was rushed to the hospital. According to reports, he did not vomit or suffer from a severe headache.

Johnson also sent a tweet while at St. Luke’s, telling Ginebra fans that he was feeling okay.

Ginebra is off to a 2-4 start in the Governors’ Cup after falling to San Miguel and is in danger of missing the playoffs.
