MANILA, Philippines – The 2014-15 season marked a homecoming with high expectations for 4-time NBA MVP LeBron James. He was the prodigal son, returning to his home state after leading the Miami Heat to four straight Finals appearances – and two Larry O’Brien trophies.
“King James” will have a chance to award the Cleveland Cavaliers with their first NBA title when their best-of-7 series kicks off against the Golden State Warriors on Friday, June 5 Manila time.
James has had a standout year, being selected unanimously to the All-NBA First Team and the second best record in the East after joining forces with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.
Playing for the team where it all started, James is hoping to bring it full circle this year.
