MANILA, Philippines – Filipino lady tanker Jasmine Alkhaldi secured a bronze medal in the women’s 100m freestyle swimming event on Monday, June 8 at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Singapore.
The 2012 Olympian finished with a time of 56.10 behind silver medalist Thi Anh Vien Nguyen of Vietnam (56.05) and gold medalist Ting Wen Quah of Singapore (55.93).
The 21-year old Alkhaldi, who is based in Hawaii, also bagged the bronze in women’s 50m butterfly.
Singaporean Quah broke her previous record of 56.03 for the same event from the 2009 SEA Games held in Laos. – Rappler.com
