MANILA, Philippines – One team’s drought comes to an end, as another team’s misery continues.

The Golden State Warriors ended a 40-year title drought by winning the 2015 NBA championship in 6 games against the hard-fighting Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, June 17 (Tuesday, June 16 in the US).

League MVP Steph Curry led his team for one last time this season while veteran Andre Iguodala earned himself the Finals MVP award for a consistent performance throughout these Finals.

LeBron James and the Cavaliers fought valiantly despite being severely undermanned without its All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving and starting big Kevin Love.
