MANILA, Philippines – Camp continues for Manny Pacquiao as he jogged at Pan Pacific Park in Los Angeles on Tuesday, March 15.
The 37-year-old boxer is deep into camp for his final fight, which will be a third meeting with Timothy Bradley Jr on April 9 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao is coming off a layoff following his May 2015 loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr, after which he underwent surgery to repair a torn right rotator cuff. Roach, speaking with the Los Angeles Times, said the shoulder has held up well in training camp.
“Well, it’s 100% so far in training camp. Could he hurt it again? I’m not sure, but right now, there’s no problem whatsoever. He’s punching as hard as I’ve ever felt,” said Roach.
Roach dismissed the idea that Bradley had improved under new trainer Teddy Atlas, saying that his knockout performance against Brandon Rios was due to his opponent’s lack of conditioning. – Rappler.com
